your concern that purchase of sprint by european co. would impact adversely against cdma is well founded. this is why i think DOJ is so stupid; it is worried about competition in tiny areas of the telecom industry and ignores the global competitive overal environment. as i have been saying for at least a month, the result of DOJ's actions will be to give control of the telecom market to the europeans. we won't have any strong telecom cos left in the emerging parts of the market. pure insanity. and united states ipr cos will be hampered. with european control you don't really think there would be another qualcomm do you? there would be favoritism to european suppliers and ipr.
