LemonHead,

I started AIMing CCl on 03/19 in an IRA account

Uh-oh. Whew! I had to look. I didn't post anything about either CCL or RCL until well after 3/19, so I'm in the clear. <g> You did this "oops" all on your own... <g>

Next purchase should be at $17.50 or below

At this point, my "gut" feel is that CCL (and RCL) will move lower. RCL has not yet reported for this quarter. The per share price of CCL and RCL move in lock step with one another. Good news for one is good news for the other and vice versa. Since RCL got pounded on CCL's revenues warning for the second half of this year, I suspect that, when RCL reports (next week? week after?) any little thing out of place will serve to drop both stocks by as much as 1 or 2 points. But that's just a hunch or a guess.

As I indicated in last night's post, I'm still contemplating trying to catch a bottom here in these two stocks. I think it's real close right now. One or both of them currently has a stock buy-back program in place. Combining the possible reduced float with the currently favorable dividend gives one a comfortable "cushion" should the stock price growth prove to be "dead money" for a few years.

One other benefit of owning the stock is that you receive an additional discount off the Cruise fares

This is a somewhat common perk within the gaming and leisure industries. I know that some of the major casinos and hotels offer shareholder discounts as well, but I really haven't looked into any of them yet. If memory serves, discounts ran anywhere from 10% to 25%. I was not aware that CCL was offering a discount. I wonder if RCL offers one as well?

I wonder if SI should some how tag the profiles of members who have passed?

I think that's a wonderful idea. You should suggest it to SI. Perhaps something in the profile that says "In Loving Memory" or something along those lines...

At the AIM BB we lost a very good friend in January

One might think that it would be somewhat easier to lose a friend or acquaintance in the cyber world, as opposed to a "real" world friend. I now know from personal experience that that is not true. Grief is grief, no matter the source. I didn't know your friend, but if you're willing to vouch for him, I'm sure that his passing is a loss for SI as well. For Edwarda, we are discussing several charitable ideas at the moment, as a sort of memorial in her name. She will be sorely missed by hundreds of us.
