You still fall back on your basic contention that killing a few innocents is okay, as long as we kill all the guilty. I'd sure hate to be in your court of justice.

When I was a teen-ager, I was arrested in Texas for the murder of a gas station attendant. I fit the description of the suspect almost perfectly. I had no alibi. But I did not commit the crime. Luckily, I escaped and they never knew my real identity. I was able to hitch rides all the way to Aurora, Colorado and some friends fronted money for me to fly back home. My family never knew.

Today, I would either be still rotting in a Texas jail or long dead having been executed. I know I would have been found guilty because if some think I'm a smart-ass now, you should have seen me when I was a teen-ager. The DA there at the time was a political opportunist and sought maximum punishment for crimes. I would not have plea bargained if offered because I was innocent and would have refused.

I would have had a court-appointed lawyer because my father would have disowned me and refused to pay for an attorney.

Interestingly, they never did find the person who murdered that gas station attendant or the $316 that was stolen...
