If DEC can claim cache management as its patent, DEC can sue the whole chip industry and even the S/W industry too. DEC can claim 2/3 of the chip industry revenue is from DEC's patent. Let's all go buy DEC. (just kidding !) Which new processors (RISC, CSIC) doesn't use cache management ? even ASIC chips use this technique as well. Just hope the judges know the consequence of this lawsuit and understand the technicle side of the issues. Where is aLbert today ? Go the DEC thread. -Henry
