I think he is reminding us of the normal cycles. In THIS Bull market, we have a P/E ratio of 35:1. That is 30% above any historical precedent. During the bottom of the PAST Bear markets, the P/E ratio was between 7:1 to 8:1. We may experience a 75% paper loss in stocks that have been overbought (by using the current 35:1 vs 8:1 P/E). JMO of what he means.
