I believe that US, as well as the global economy, will actually accelerate well beyond what we currently see. An immediate example of this will be the merging of fibre-optic, MEMS and wireless technology. This will dramatically change the technological face of our world as size limitations will no longer be an issue. It will also substantially increase the revenues stream of properly positioned companies in the above sectors.

In addition, the exciting work in genomics, while perhaps a few years away, I believe will provide a huge source of revenues and economic expansion. The ramifications of companies such as TKTX, who can insert a DNA "start" sequence to generate pure proteins in bulk, or NGEN who has the technology to measure specific DNA sequences in blood samples (a MEMS biotech application fwiw) are huge.

While this is somewhat visionary, I think it prudent to consider the possibility that we are actually at the start of a bull market on a macro scale and that the current pace of economic growth is more than sustainable.

Regards,

Mike
