To All ---Front page headline in local paper where BICO has their research and mfg. facilities ---June 20 - "HOUSE REVIEWS FDA'S ACTIONS ON BICONTROL" The article states that a House subcommittee is looking into the way the U.S. Food and Drug Adm. handled BICO's request to market its noninvasive glucose sensor in the U.S. The Chairman of the Oversight and Investigations subcommittee, Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas is looking at (1) if there was a conflict of interest among the independent experts who recommended more testing and (2) the extent to which the FDA is effectively and fairly handling the reviews for medical devices. - Downside - same article goes on to explain another law suit against BICO officers over excessive salaries, perks, autos and on and on. Pitt. Post slashed BICO in spring over same problems.
