How does this affect ABER?

JOHANNESBURG, June 26 ( Reuters ) - South African diamond mining group De Beers said on Monday it intended to make a C$259 million cash offer for Canada's Winspear Diamonds Inc.
De Beers said in a statement the cash offer of C$4.25 per Winspear common share, signifying a premium of 77 percent over Winspear's closing price on the Toronto bourse of C$2.40 on June 23, would be made through its wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary.
"We believe that our offer provides full and fair value to Winspear shareholders, particularly given the pre-feasibility stage of the project, the technical and permitting risks involved and the significant expenditure that will be required to bring this project into production," Richard Molyneux, president and chief executive officer of De Beers Canada Corp said.
Among Winspear's operations is an envisaged underground diamond mine at Snap Lake in Canada -- the country's first underground diamond mine -- which De Beers said it expected to bring it into production as quickly as possible.
