I could and am tempted to attack this article line by line but I will spare you all my ranting.
No, he couldn't, and that is why he didn't.
I could go off on the anti Semitic theme pervasive in the article, but ...
Once again, he couldn't, and that is why he didn't. The only anti-Semitic theme to the article is that a bunch of Jews are involved in this scam stock. Should it be concealed that N2W is an Israeli company? Should a journalist change the names of the criminals to WASP names hide their Jewish ethnicity?
The author's attack on Jacqueline Doherty is the funniest part of the post. I mean, Amazon is being flushed down the toilet as we speak, and he still thinks Doherty got it wrong? From one of his Amazon citations:
Bulls highlight Amazon's terrific cash-flow dynamics
ROFLMAO! Anyone who likes Amazon's cash-flow needs serious help.
Bulls are clinging desparately to the one positive point in the Barron's article, that Partner made a positive comment about the technology. The key here is that Partner has a strong interest in propping up the price of SCII stock. From Bobo's post on this thread:
"Net2Wireless stated in a March 16, 2000 press release that it had reached an agreement with Partner Communications (Partner), a cellular carrier in Israel, to test their Value Added Services Platform. Through this agreement Partner Communications was granted an option for over 3mm shares with a strike price of $1.84, creating a profit for Partner of over $72mm. The S-4 filed by SCII further states that the ?Under the pilot agreement, Net2Wireless is testing, at its cost, its multimedia streaming media platform on Partner system.? Furthermore, ?Net2Wireless has agreed to supply the software necessary for the initial 50,000 users free of charge.?"
