However, "Aware sightings" are few and far bewteen. Hat's off to USRX. I really don't know if it acknowledges an "act of despiration" or a "brilliant marketing move". Situation ---------- * They are LATE to the ADSL party...and have a analog base to protect. * Thumbed their nose at Amati because of price. So what do they do: -------------------- * Find an obscure DMT company (Aware) to lisc. code * Tell the market they will brings standards to ADSL (hahahaha) * Tell the market they will be everything to everyone. * Tell the world A YEAR IN ADVANCE...that they'll deliver a very low cost solution..so RBOC's ..you better wait. They've palyed this game before. They can't deliver..so they try to freeze the market in advance. The technology is in the TI chip not USRX knowhow. Expect Amati and anyone else who teams with TI to offer the same. We'll see what happens. Bob
