(re: news) 06/26/00 TIGI to acquire RIMC W. General Search... add in IT services, since GS has a 20 person plus IT department. Also note that marketing is in three forms 1. Direct (with RIMC) 2. Co-branding 3. Permission Thus TIGI also with RIMC and GS's IT capabilities plus portal, becomes potentially a "mall" hosting any one's product or service using cards, and multimedia (infomercials) to both direct traffic to the mall and gather permission info from customers to create "sticky" customers that aren't costly to acquire or retain. IMO the model is really starting to come together and make tremendous sense. Now maybe another UCP partner QVC could play a role in this whole endeavor- that would be pretty kool. z (spelling and grammar not checked)
