It's going to be quite a long time before cable service is rolled out on a large scale. The larger the market, the harder it is to establish the service.

I don't expect to see it in my neck of the woods (Brooklyn, NY) for quite some time. A $200 investment in a 56k modem, even if only for 2 years, is worthwhile.

Anyway, you did get a COMS ethernet card so why so worried? :-)
