JMD, good points, qualitative though they may be.

Does Q really want the fate of CDMA to be in the hands of others, such as NOK?

If NOK and QCOM formed a joint venture, could not NOK become the dominant manufacturer of CDMA ASICS (perhaps the "King")?

Could not a dominant manufacturer of CDMA deviate from QCOM designs and patents to eventually dethrone or at least dilute QCOM by establishing new de-facto CDMA standards?
