Sam Stovall, senior investment strategist at Standard & Poor's, said the market is entering a favorable time as the S&P has had an average return of 7 percent in the second half of the year during the past 10 presidential election years. Heading into the second-quarter earnings season, Stovall expects the energy and tech sectors to again outpace all other areas of the market while the financials and cyclicals are likely to struggle the most. cbs.marketwatch.com
