Spoke with Jeff Cocks at MNP. He confirmed that Carpenter sold a little stock earlier this year but very much doubted they would be selling at these prices. They will have drill results out in one to two weeks. One important hole is a test for ore at a depth of 1600 feet (600 feet deeper than any prior drill). If they come up with good results on that one, it will add a whole new dimension to the MNP story. He dismissed the political situation in places like Fiji and Indonesia indicating that relations are very positive with the PNG government. Indeed, they are a minority owner in the project.

I think one indication of how poor (can only get better, worse doesn't seem possible) the market is on these stocks, is the complete lack of discussion on this thread on what is already a world class deposit, with prospects for getting even larger.
