Techplayer, this was my answer to your question:

Message 13945042

In regards to your 2nd point,

" then I will say that I do not care if it costs me a few extra bucks
a year in insurance so that people less fortunate can get some sort
of appropriate medical attention.
"

you are missing my points which are that:

a) no amount of health insurance will bring back terminal people.
b) A large amount of today's health insurance moneys is
being spent on terminal people or people .
c) those moneys are not willing contributions ( such as yours you claim is )
but rather money taken by
the IRS from people who are parting with it only because
of fear of going to jail.(Medicare contributions ).
They know they are likely to never see those moneys again,
c) they are angry because they can see those moneys being wasted.
d) this is unrelated to caring for people. In that case
the system ought to be voluntary.
e) Medicare is not based on caring. It is based on coerced extortion of tax money.
This is why people have voted in the last 30 years for a goverment that has
slowed the severity of this extortion.
f) this is why G.Bush is ahead in the polls: He wants to gradually phase
out this extortionary system and replace it with Medisave Accounts

ot Tunica, huh? that had absolutely nothing to do with my question. If you want to go down that path, then I will say that I do not care if it costs me a few extra bucks a year in insurance so that people less fortunate can get some sort of appropriate medical attention. That is a result of not being a whiner and actually caring about other people, whether I know them or not. tp
