Well, truthfully I'm not an option player. However, I've
heard from more than a few money mangers that this is
indeed a worthwhile strategy. My own preference is to
take myself completely out of the market. For instance,
money market funds are paying close to 5% right now. It
may not be as profitable as a covered call, but I enjoy
taking my mind completely off the market. Not sure if that
helps.

It's funny you quoted that one line I wrote...I was about
to pack it in for the summer, but I can't keep my eyes off
the golds.
