It's interesting that you use Microsoft products in spite of their shortcomings.

It's increasingly less interesting as my use of their products decreases. In the last year or so, I've shifted the percentage of my time I spend working on the NT platform vs. Unix from 80-90% to nearly zero. Keep in mind that I do have MS products forced on me by circumstance; I have the same warm regard for this as I imagine I would have for forced prison sex.

These days, my endeavors work a hell of lot better and I don't get called on flakezoidal problems nearly as often. It's real, and I'm loving it.

Once the linux desktop matures a little more and software catches up there, I expect to jettison MS products completely. I truly look forward to the day I can take Windows for a nice long drive in the country, shoot it in the head a couple of times, bury it in a unmarked grave, and drive away smiling. It makes me all misty just thinking about it ;-)
