June 27, 2000 10:46 AM Eastern Time
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2000--

New Services Include Small Business Internet Access and Web Enabled Procurement, Payroll, Finance and Benefits Management Services

Dell DELL , a world leader in Internet commerce and infrastructure, today announced an expansion of its small business E-service offerings through joint efforts with AT&T and a group of other innovative Web-based businesses.

Dell has entered into a strategic relationship with AT&T to provide Internet access to Dell's U.S. small business customers, including a new Dell-branded Internet access program called DellEPro. Dell and AT&T plan to work together to bring other small business offerings to market later this fall.

"Analyst forecasts show that small businesses will spend roughly $28 billion on Internet services this year," said Kathleen Earley, President AT&T Data and Internet Services. "AT&T recognizes this and is committed to helping these companies transform themselves through innovative services such as DellEPro. Working closely with Dell, AT&T plans to create a number of custom enhancements to its private label IP services to help make the DellEPro end-user experience best-in-class."

DellEPro will be available later this summer on Dell notebooks and desktop PCs or sold separately on CD-ROM and Internet download to Dell's U.S. small business customers. DellEPro will also available through employee purchase programs of Dell's corporate customers. Dell is working with AT&T to provide Dell PCs and DellEPro to up to 100,000 American Airlines employees as part of American's subsidized employee home computer program.

"Internet-based companies continue to view Dell as a former small business that successfully grew its operations over the Web to $40 million a day in sales," said Frank Muehleman, senior vice president of Dell's home and small business group. "With DellEWorks we're providing small business customers with expertise and Internet tools needed to start or run their businesses over the Internet."
