Corp. To Build The TruckLink System For The Heavy Duty Trucking Industry.

LAKE FOREST, Calif., Jun 27, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- James McCarney, president
of MTI has confirmed the selection of Telenetics Corp. (OTC: TLNT) to build the
TruckLink(TM) System, a new wireless diagnostic, maintenance and vehicle
location system designed for the heavy duty trucking industry.

This release is intended to clarify information contained in an earlier release
dated May 22, 2000.

The system, which has been developed by McCarney Technologies, Inc., of
Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, incorporates Telenetics wireless technology,
which have been modified to send data through the 3-Watt Motorola cellular
transceiver incorporated into the TruckLink(TM) system.

Mack Trucks announced on May 17 that the TruckLink(TM) is now available for
aftermarket installation on all makes and models of Mack(R) trucks.

Commenting on this development, William Kosoff, director of sales for Telenetics
Broadband Products, stated: "This is a significant development for our company
to incorporate our cellular data technology in TruckLink(TM) systems.

"This cellular technology has been proven in over 16,000 installations at major
projects such as Duquesne Light's major Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) program in
the greater Pittsburgh area.

"Although Telenetics currently does not have a direct contract with Mack Trucks,
we are hopeful that MTI's strong relationship with Mack Truck will open new
market opportunities for MTI's TruckLink(TM) and our wireless products."

Telenetics disclosed that it has received an initial order to build 1,000
TruckLink(TM) systems for immediate delivery.

Lehigh Valley, Pa.-based Mack Trucks, Inc. announced on May 17 that it "has
introduced a new wireless diagnostic, maintenance and vehicle location system,
known as TruckLink. The new device is now available for aftermarket installation
on all makes and models of Mack(R) trucks."

The news release from Mack Trucks goes as follows: "With TruckLink, fleets,
owner operators and drivers can easily access real-time maintenance information,
as well as detect, capture, store and forward impending and current
complications associated with a vehicle's engine, powertrain and anti-lock brake
system.

"TruckLink is fully supported by Diagnostic Hotline, a company that supplies
technical repair advice and enhances preventive maintenance programs with
timesaving measures via a call center support system.

"TruckLink was developed by McCarney Technologies, Inc., Richmond, British
Columbia. TruckLink features include driver display, low profile dual antenna,
anti-theft protection and a Motorola three-watt analog cellular phone. The
diagnostic, maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities function through the
diagnostic hotline assistance network to locate the nearest repair center.

"The two communicate and forward a remedy to the operator to ensure accurate
diagnosis and speedy repairs to significantly reduce downtime and delivery
delays. If necessary, roadside assistance or transportation to the nearest
repair facility can be arranged to accelerate servicing of the vehicle.

"TruckLink allows users to customize GPS (Global Positioning Sensors) reports,
fault strategies and Mack diagnostic trouble code reporting. TruckLink records
information in 30-second increments, 15 seconds before and after a violation of
any monitored parameter of the vehicle. TruckLink also includes a backup battery
in the event of a malfunction in the vehicle's electrical system.

"The location system includes GPS to pinpoint the precise location of the
vehicle on a street level map. This system also includes a driver's display with
a digital message screen, which connects through a wireless system. An
additional enhancement to the display is a button that can be used to signal the
fleet base station of any non-monitored systems or extraordinary event.

"To prevent theft the system includes a tracking device that is activated and
deactivated by radio frequency. Any unauthorized entry of the vehicle is
automatically reported to the base station.

"Russ Raine, Mack vice president -- customer product support, said that
TruckLink has been operating successfully for the past two years in a number of
test fleets throughout North America. The system is available at all authorized
Mack sales, parts and service locations."

Founded in 1900, Mack Trucks is one of North America's largest producers of
heavy duty trucks. Mack(R) trucks are sold and serviced in more than 65
countries through a network of more than 860 sales, parts and service centers.

Mack(R) trucks has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault V.I. until just
recently when Volvo AB announced it was acquiring a controlling interest in the
Mack Truck/Renault Trucking business.

The deal which was announced in TRUCK WEST News in May of 2000 stated that:
"Including Renault VI/Mack, the deal will make Volvo the largest manufacturer of
heavy trucks in Europe and the second largest in the world." Mack is a
registered trademark of Mack Trucks.
