ELKHORN TO REVIEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

Elkhorn Gold Mining Corporation, (TSE: "EGC"), announces that the Company is actively reviewing new business opportunities. Management believes that it is in the best interests of the Company's shareholders to review all business opportunities, which may result in an increase in shareholder value, including transactions which would take the Company out of its traditional business of mineral development and production. To help the Company through this review an external Advisory Board has been formed. The members of the Advisory Board include:

Mr. Steven Hnatiuk
Mr. Hnatiuk has built a reputation for being an active leader in British Columbia's technology, business and financial community. He is a Director of the Technology Information Communications & Entertainment Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Vancouver. Prior to joining PwC in 1999, Steve spent over seven years with TD Bank where he was responsible for creating and building the bank's Technology Industry Group on the West Coast. He began his career with Andersen Consulting, a leading global Information Technology consulting firm. Steve currently serves as a director of the BC Technology Industries Association, a director of the Vancouver Enterprise Forum and a Business Advisory Board member of the BC Advanced Systems Institute.

Mr. Safnuk is the President of Corporate Recruiters Ltd. Established in 1980, Corporate Recruiters is Western Canada's leading independent High-Technology recruitment firm specializing in the placement of executives in the fields of Information Technology, Software Engineering, High-Tech Sales & Marketing and Electronic Engineering. The Company and/or Don are members, officers or directors of, the BC Technical Industries Association, Canadian Federation Of Independent Business, National Personnel Associates, Association of Canadian Search, Employment & Staffing Services, and the Canadian Information Processing Society.

Mr. Paul Visosky
Mr. Visosky is a principal of NEXUS Venture Capital Lawyers in Vancouver, BC. He provides legal and business advice to Canadian and U.S. junior technology companies regarding all aspects of corporate finance and securities regulatory matters. Paul is a member of the Securities Law Advisory Committee established by the BC Securities Commission and the BC Policy Advisory Committee of the Canadian Venture Exchange (CDNX).
