That is what you want to believe. The fact is some DAs lie, some defense attorneys are incompetent, many juries are swayed by emotions, not fact, in cases heavily weighted on circumstantial evidence. The system itself allows for innocents to be executed.

If you want to believe differently, that is certainly your prerogative, but you are fooling yourself, just as Ann is fooling herself because she wants something a certain way, come hell or high water. Her approach reminds me of what a comedienne once remarked, "Don't confuse me with the facts!"
