Beware the Venture Capital Herd: It's Overgrazing in Wireless"

In general I have to agree about the herd mentality. I have been in one or two gathering lately where an number of people who work for venture capital firms were present. They were jumping all over anything that involved Blue Tooth. From an engineering perspective, most people can't see what all the shouting is about. It is an enforced standard, but the cost reductions need to get greater general distribution is a few years off and the utility of the technology to a broader range of applications that people would actual pay really folding money for is still very much lacking. In the mean time, the hype controls the market place.
