Actually, DEC's market cap now is just $5.4 billion, or about $7/share hit on Intel's stock. However, I seriously doubt Intel would want to buy DEC because:

1. They don't get anything of value
2. They would then be in direct competition with their customers
3. Settlement via patent cross-licensing will be much cheaper
