Hi Kemble,
This was taken from the DELL-MSN internet service Reuters article.
""When asked about analysts expectations, Dell said the current second quarter was ``looking good.'' He added that he was comfortable with analysts' projections that Dell can double in size from revenues of $33 billion annually within the next four to five years.""
If you add a couple of cents for "robust", do you take off a few for "looking good", and just "comfortable"? Now DELL talks of "doubling in size from $33 billion annually within the next four to five years." This is a far cry from 1 trillion in the next three years!
Now, if demand is very very healthy, and MSD is "comfortable" with earnings expectations (meaning to me they will meet the street, not exceed it), then if a parts shortage does affect DELL, they will then miss the number. Conversely, a robust, healthy demand is necessary for them to meet the street if parts shortages do not affect them.
Off to the javits tomorrow to become gadgetized.
Happy trails, Kaka |
