Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Sun's top speed UltraSparc II still well below 500 MHz? The AMDroids and Alpha-Lovers keep ignoring the fact that Merced/ITanium, at 733 MHz, will be competitive - OR FASTER - than their SUN/COMPAQ/HP competitors. That leaves the ITanium as a very promising server and workstation platform. Paul
