Binx, we were mystified how Palm could be so successful without memory expansion...

...and now they (Palm) are being criticized for a lack of vision??? That argument doesn't hold water, I'm afraid. I read a lengthy article about Jeff Hawkins and his original designs of Palm computing. Simplicity and the lack of expansion slots was a key design goal.

It also appears the author of the piece you posted doesn't understand the concept of disk drive emulation and on-board controllers...
