Semiconductor Capital Equipment SAB 101, an accounting regulation which was expected to impact June quarter, has been delayed until the end of next fiscal year. Merrill Lynch out saying they believe this removes a "dark cloud" for upcoming quarterly reports for the sector and view as a positive. SEC put the ruling out late last night, but Merrill Lynch does not think the news is widely known. Stocks likely to be impacted: Novellus (NVLS), Teradyne (TER), Applied Materials (AMAT), KLA-Tencor (KLAC), Kulicke & Soffa (KLIC) and PRI Automation (PRIA).

MasTec (MTZ) 36 7/8 +2 3/4: Banc of America Sec reiterates STRONG BUY rating and price target of $62; with its diverse revenue base and end-to-end capabilities, firm believes MTZ is well positioned to take advantage of infrastructure growth opportunities; particularly with data center and wireless buildouts.

eFunds (EFDS) 13 1/16 +1/16: IPO stumbles out of the gate, trading up fractionally from its offering price. EFDS is a provider of end-to-end electronic debit payment solutions to financial institutions, retailers, electronic funds transfer networks and e-commerce providers.
LM Ericsson (ERICY) 19 5/8 -1/8 : CSFB reiterates STRONG BUY following upbeat presentation by management, highlighting that demand fundamentals for wireless industry and potential for mobile Internet applications remain strong.
Marvell Tech (MRVL) 55 1/16 +40: IPO of broadband data communications chip maker opens for trading at $48 1/2, up 223% from its IPO price.
