Apollo: Agree that the reception to Sandisk here has been somewhat less than cheers and applause (certainly when Ausdauer went to all the effort he did to present his case - IMO one of the best ever here - silence was what I heard.)

But I thought his presentation interesting and worth following up on, so I did. The more I learned and thought about the pervasiveness of the opportunity Sandisk had, the more it seemed worth considering. So I did my DD and bought.

The beauty of it was the obvious opportunity for multiple tornados.

But there was no clear case for gorilla status.

So in GG terms, there was reason to wait.

What is interesting now is that there seems to be a consensus building that Sandisk may be a gorilla with a minimum of one tornado and probably two - photos and music.

The multiple opportunities for removable storage in a postage stamp size for photography, music, wireless phones and handhelds all seem clear. The only question is will SNDK supply the essential "form factors". Not a slam dunk, but a good bet.

Best.
