Intel P3's caught in a vise.

Now AMD has two weapons. Duron speed increases AND Tbird speed increases.

The former pressures Intel to raise Celeron II speeds, cannibalizing the heart of the P3 speed-grade distribution if they do, losing Value marketshare if they don't.

The latter pressures Intel to raise P3 speeds, which forces them to accept poor yields if they do, or kiss high-performance retail marketshare goodbye if they don't (or can't).

It appears AMD is beginning to execute this strategy. Sweet.
