Legato Systems Compliant With Nasdaq Listing Requirements; Hearing before Listing Qualifications Panel Cancelled

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2000--Legato Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:LGTO), a worldwide leader in enterprise storage management, today announced that it has been informed by the Nasdaq staff that the Company is in compliance with the filing requirements, as well as all other requirements for continued listing on the Nasdaq National Market. The Nasdaq staff has also informed Legato that the Company's scheduled hearing before the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel is no longer required. The Company previously announced that on June 8, 2000,
it had filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission its amended Form 10-Qs for the first, second, and third quarters of fiscal 1999. On June 12, 2000 Nasdaq removed the "E" that had been appended to the Company's trading symbol.
