Technology Investor - August Issue....

This was copied from a post on another message board.....

"The following is from the August issue of Technology Investor.

Datalink.net has the most experience in wireless. It began its wireless business in 1993 by delivering stock quotes, email,
rumor alerts, financial news, sports and other personalized Web content to wireless devices. Last year, it shifted focus to
business to business wireless enabling.
datalink.net trails 724 Solutions and Aether Systyms in terms of publicity, cash on hand, customers and cachet. The
company has strength in its experience with wireless devices, its knowledge of wireless networks and its relationships with
a large number of content providers.

"We focus on actionable content, the kind that drives transactions," says Anthony LaPine, CEO. "The trick is building a
compelling interactive wireless application, one that stimulates e-commerce or increases business productivity. Just
providing information is not enough."

The company specializes in personalizing the data that goes to wireless users and putting that data on different devices.
One product, Wireless Bookmark, helps websites attract wireless customers by offering alerts to their phones, PDAs and
pagers. An auction engine work similarly to alert Internet auction participants about bids and allows them to respond. The
company also has a wireless e-commerce engine.
Datalink.net is building an application for Chase Manhattan that will deliver customized financial data and alerts to its
traders carrying one-way pagers, two-way pagers, smart phones ar PDAs. It's based on the company's Xpress Link
software."
