OTOH, there is also no question in my mind that the economy is slowing right now. If you look at things from a historical perspective, if tangible evidence of inflation is evident before the economy slows, as is the case right now, it is very difficult to head it off. Things are always different, though, and it wouldn't surprise me if we saw just a very slight rise inflation, localized primarily in commodity price pressure.
