Loved the Alexandria Bay story.... That's up in my general neck of the woods... my mom's family all grew up around there and still keep boats down that way. A few of them were kept at Alexandria Bay until just a few years ago.... Funny the stuff that we do as kids for almost zippo pay. When I was about 14, I spent about 2 weeks (the Mon-Friday part) running a small marina that had gas pumps and a food concession kiosk. I did that single-handed for... I think it was $2.00 a day and all of the pop and potato chips that I wanted... Spent each day racing back and forth out the dock to pump gas for boats and then back to the kiosk to cook hotdogs... Still makes me ROTFL to think about it.. (-:
