I do not know enough about each and every instance of capital punishment to know- and neither do you. But my experience with the "efficiency" of government systems (ALL of them) has been enough to convince me that I do not want the state executing people. Of course I have never been able to "decide" what people "deserve", either. I now prefer to segregate offenders- rather than kill them- irregardless of what they might deserve. If they are killers (and many of them are heinous killers) I do not want to be like them in any way. I do not want to rejoice or approve the killing of another human being whether some people think that person "deserves" it or not.
