Tekboy,

What part of this don't you understand?

LOL! Since this isn't the curmudgeon thread, I'm sorry to learn that the detriment of your August calls is a prerequisite to the vast increase in the value of my common stock. :)

For the record, I agree with you about all of those points you made with the one possibility that because Gemstar is next to impossible to value, I simply don't know what the price of the stock should fairly be. However, all of those points were percieved prior to the second survey and all of them except point #5 about the merger (and thus, also point #6) were perceived prior to the first survey. Yet fewer people felt Gemstar is a Gorilla at the time of the second survey when the news of the attempted merger had been long absorbed.

The most interesting point is that the Godzilla in Gemstar is becoming easier to quantify than the Gorilla. And oh by the way, the Godzilla couldn't be born without the gorilla qualities coming first but it is the Godzilla in the Gem that will reap the largest dollars.

I'm curious. Since you believe "Gemstar should be ramping up dramatically" and that the market isn't "giving Gemstar the respect it deserves," what do you believe is the fair price and how do you arrive at it?
