tekboy: Since your daytime job is as a political science [sic.] guru, was most interested in your point 5, since as a rank amateur and just sometime observer of the "political" scene it would seem that the recent hits to Microsoft and Worldcom have some political baggage, no?

Out of curiosity, do you know what Bernie Ebbers' campaign contributions have been over recent years and to whom?

Seems to me the handwriting is on the wall for disapproval of the GMST merger - the political problem being the mergee.

Any thoughts?

Best.
