Why doesn't RMBS make VIA -- never a RMBS/INTC fan -- the focus of my efforts to "settle once and for all" this patent mess. No one else imo will want to fight the battle against RMBS is court (as no one came to Hitachi's defense in the last suit). Hence most others will no doubt come to some arrangement with RMBS in time -- even MU (and this is the biggest reason why I personally feel shorting RMBS now is pure folly) unless one is trying to salvage their prior bad trade). VIA clearly has the most to gain with DDR and the most to lose if royalties are required. That said, VIA imo will be hard pressed to take the battle to the end as the costs will far outweigh the gains. bwdik
