Let us not forget that if the technology does not work then the magnesium is still there. That means that it may possibly be made into a separate concentrate and sold as just another concentrate along with the copper conc. and the Zn conc. and any other concentrate. As I understand it the Mg analytical results are very similar with ordinary ICP analysis (using HCl, HNO3, H2SO4) and with the more exacting ICP analysis that uses HF acid. This means that the Mg is not tied up in a silicate because HF acid is needed to break down the silicate(s) in the digestion process for the analysis (Correct me if I am wrong). So it is probably not a complex silicate mineral. Also, as I understand it from the press release, it is in all the sulphides. So the entire sulphide deposit has Mg potential, not just the Cu-Zn-Co rich zones. So that makes for a much larger deposit, and it can still be an economic deposit with or without the technology in question. But a much more profitable one with the technology.
