At my age I like SOME creature comforts, but I think a B & B is a great way to vacation. You meet the locals and it's very laid back and relaxed - no dressing up for dinner. I dislike package tours myself. I bet if US citizens were allowed to visit Cuba freely and the economy was less restricted B&B's would pop up all over the place.
