This staff accounting bulletin delays the implementation date of SAB 101 until no later than the fourth fiscal quarter of fiscal years beginning after December 15, 1999.

The SEC delay is only till 4th quarter. 101A had implementation this quarter. Merrill Lynch was off in their reporting.

This gives the SEC time to prepare appropriate responses to the issues raised with 101A.
