Karen, the Cuban government has ruthless control over all families. Do you really think that the government goons, that picked up the children to send them to stay with Elian in the U.S., said "pretty please" when they came for the children? <g> Do you think that any Cuban parent can say "no" to any government order? No matter how incompetent the Cuban politicians are, they still have all the power, and the people have none.
