Good email to AP.. I agree that was horrible reporting. The interesting thing here is that Intel didn't "introduce" anything today nor did they have a "Vapor Launch" (Jim). They basically announced the formal name for Williamette and that is it. Incredibly poor journalism. But I agree with Ted....not the reason for todays selloff. Sell the news on the fed and overall weakness in the chip sector. AMD is also falling victim to profits being locked in at the end of a quarter in my opinion as obviously it has been an outstanding performer throughout the year. If you believe the story and are a long term investor, why worry..in time the stock will come back to new highs as long as AMD continues to execute. It does seem though that on this thread, more so than others, there are an awful lot of people with highly leveraged short term positions...always a risky business.
