Your right I did mis read your post but normally companies announce earnings much earlier than they file the 10K and for companies on a later fiscal year in all likely hood will adopt earlier.

Also if the SEC doesn't change some of the issues raised in bulletin 101 we'll start hearing pre announcement warnings in the 4th quarter.
