Let me say up front that I've held ADI for many years, and don't intend to sell it at present either. That said however, I have difficulty seeing the stock as cheap (although ADI's business is pure gold).

Obviously it's expensive on any historical fundamental basis such as P/E, etc. Ok, let's put all that aside and say the company will grow into its fundamental numbers or make generous assumptions about the "forward" P/E.

My primary concern though, is that it's trading something like 40% above it's 200 day moving average. It wouldn't surprise me to see it trade down in the mid 70's to mid 60's before its next run up. It sometimes gets even further ahead of the 200 day average, but it generally comes back toward the line before making it's next run up.

A "hold" IMHO, but not a "buy" at this price. FWIW...
