I don't believe those rumors. I think their 6/13 announcement of the new content switch platform using the latest Intel network processor is very significant and the market is still overhang its negatives. Most of the concerns on F5 was its slower performance of its software ITM solutions versus ATON, FDRY's ASIC solutions. Although I still like ATON and FDRY better as they offer more complete enterprise multi-service switch solutions, but F5's position at this point is getting stronger. Anyone interested in F5 should read the whitepaper found on their website.
