With the short term average volume on AMD (around 2,5 Millions) 600,000 to 700,000 extra shares sold is far enough to explain the actual situation. What I don't get if my hypothesis is right, is why are they choosing this time to dump it. They should have waited for the big volumes surrounding the earnings event.

Today and tomorrow is when the big funds do their end of the quarter 'window dressing'. So this is when they dump and buy. I am beginning to think they have been dumping for several weeks now..and that's what has thwarted AMD's attempts to move up. And yes, AMD's uptrend was broken yesterday...the first time in a while.

My portfolio is vaporizing as well. :~((
