Starr is not a political animal like Clinton. Starr is an honest man. The democrats (most, not all) tried to vilify him. The infamous "spin doctors" (which, IMO should be outlawed in politics) used every type of nuance, hearsay, absurd accusation and whispering campaign they could to discredit him.

Clinton should have been forced to leave office in disgrace. Not because of Monica, but because of the lies he told under oath to try to cover up his affair later. The reason for a motivation for a lie under oath is of no consideration. He disgraced the office of the presidency and should have been removed.

The irony of the situation is that, in the end, many parrot-Americans now firmly "believe" (read: had programmed into them) that Clinton was a poor underdog and Judge Kenneth Starr some evil, vindictive monster.

Our Founding Fathers must have been spinning in their graves over that one. (Well, maybe not the federalist, Hamilton.)
