<<Way too soon to forget about OUM.>> Well, since OUM is a brainchild of ENER, it is very reasonable to be highly skeptical of it. Ovshinsky has had many brainchilds over the past two or more decades. He has managed to plow through hundreds of millions dollars, probably billions of dollars, in fact, in search of the next great invention. He has convinced, over that time, many Fortune 500 companies to back him year after year, including companies as disparate as Sony, Toshiba, Hitachi, GM, Ford, Exxon, Shell, and more. I don't think one invention of his has ever been commercialized. Perhaps Zeev or someone else can point to one, but I certainly can't. He is, however, a master at raising money. He would be a big hit for one of the political parties.
Yes, I speak as one who lost a couple of thousand dollars back in the early 80s when he was going to revolutionize the energy business with photovoltaic power and other renewable sources of clean energy. "Great" idea, but....
