Hi dave, "Isn't the W-CDMA prototype that van phone thing?" No, I do not believe so. The 'van' thing was something they used perhaps a year ago to test and demonstrate their systems. And this brings me to my complaint about anti-WCDMA posters. The two main criticisms have been: 1) The handsets are so big they barely fit inside a van! 2) The handsets produce so much heat they melt the plastic/give you brain cancer! I figure it is either one or the other but I hold on to the possibility that it is neither. Whatever the situation with heat production I imagine the van thing is old news. Terrapin
